The 2017 Kia Cee’d will be the second-generation model and it had been seen in Scandinavia for winter testing further on of its estimated release in 2017. Expect to see the new Cee’d in dealership in 2017 that come with 1.0-litre T-GDI three cylinders among engine options. It will have major updates for the interior over the previous generation. Unfortunately, hybrid versions will not be available in the future. However, there will be a new GT version among the Cee’d lineup.
2017 Kia Cee’d Engine
The new Kia Cee’d was noticed in Scandinavia for winter testing under full camouflage cover but you can still see the second-generation family hatchback beneath the hood. Identical to that of the GT Line Cee’d, the engine given to the new 2017 Kia Cee’d would be the new 1.0-litre three-cylinder T-GDI engine which was introduced earlier year at the Geneva motor show. Kia has planned to not include the hybrid versions in the range though gasoline and diesel engines would be added into the line-up.
2017 Kia Cee’d Release Date
The new Cee’d seen in the testing could hit the dealership in 2017 though Kia has planned to sell the revamped GT Line Cee’d at the end of this year. But, you might be lucky enough to see it at the 2017 Geneva motor show for unveiling. A larger new-hatchback GT variant of the new Cee’d will compete against Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus. For the upcoming model, the new Cee’d will get new styling updates such as a revamped front fascia design, light cluster styling, a new bumper, and grille. Pricing for the new 2017 Kia Cee’d remains unknown, but there could be a major improvement from that of the previous generation in the interior and you can expect that the current model price of £15,000 to £24,000 will have an increase.
