The 2017 KIA GT4 Stinger is the serial version of the GT Concept from the South Korean carmaker. The first half of 2017 could be the release date of the car after Kia confirmed its production in 2015. The brand new model is expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 2016 or at least at the Detroit NAIAS in 2017. There are distinctive modern design and exceptional quality in the new generation model. Most of the design styling would be carried over from the GT Concept recently introduced.
2017 KIA GT4 Stinger Design And Styling
The GT Concept will provide the exterior design of the new 2017 KIA GT4 Stinger. But, it is possible there will be some elements added later from the GT4 Stinger Concept models. This concept car is the reason why Kia uses the Stinger name for the new model. However, the new 2017 Kia Stinger would have slight difference from the GT concept. There are carbon fiber wheels and suicide doors on the GT Concept and it seems these features will be given to the Stinger version. The concept comes in four doors and four-seater coupe and it will be carried over for the new 2017 KIA GT4 Stinger but aluminum wheels, regular doors, and more luxury inside the vehicle to serve five passengers comfortably.
2017 KIA GT4 Stinger Engine
The powertrain options remain unknown but it is believed that it will be given that of the GT4 Stinger concept and GT concept. The engine of the GT concept is a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine good for 395 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque connected via 8-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheel drive. The GT4 Stinger concept comes with a 2.0-liter turbo T-GDI engine boasting 315 hp connected via 6-speed manual transmission to the rear wheel. There will be also a turbo-diesel equipped 2017 KIA GT4 Stinger that boosts 200 hp for European audiences.
