2017 Ford Fiesta Luxury Interior And New Look

Expect to see a new top of the line trim level and an updated look as a midlife rejuvenation to the pocket-sized 2017 Ford Fiesta. Introduced in 2008 in Europe, the seventh-generation Fiesta was available in the US as the 2011 model year. The sub-compact hatch will get a new front fascia design, a large grille, and sharp headlights up front while revised tail lamps will be added for the rear end.

Ford will adopt a strategy similar to Volkswagen, Opel division and some other competitors without adding new things under the skin. The current model’s architecture will be the base for the new model but with some twists. The new model could be slightly lighter than its forerunner and it offers a more comfy suspension and quieter ride. It is rumored that Vignale will be introduced as a top of the line trim level in the 2017 Ford Fiesta lineup. The Vignale trim was already offered on the S-Max minivan and the Fusion that adds chrome details and a more upscale look as well as contrast stitching and leather upholstery inside.

A 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine will be replaced with a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine just like most Fiestas released in Europe. There is also a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel available while speed enthusiast could still enjoy the hot-rod Fiesta ST model. However, details of the U.S. model including mechanical modifications remains unknown though it seems the 2017 Ford Fiesta could be available in model that generate 250 hp.

2017 Ford Fiesta Debut

The Fiesta could not be seen in the French capital as Ford has dropped it for the Paris Auto Show though the fall is scheduled to be the debut for the updated Ford Fiesta. Either Detroit Auto Show on the next year or Los Angeles Auto Show will be the announcement for 2017 Ford Fiesta’s North American debut.
