The next generation 2017 Ford Taurus has unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show a while ago and will arrive in the dealership at the end of this year or early 2017. It will share the same model with the American spec Ford Taurus and the 2016 Ford Mondeo as updated sedan. The price of the new paradigm is expected at $27,000 for the base model to $41,000 for the top trim level. Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger will be the strong competitors for Taurus.

The grille is new and striking surrounded with chromed frame. The bumper is revised, and bigger that come with matching body color. Ford has made changes to the headlight and tail lamp. At the rear bumper of 2017 Ford Taurus, there are twin exhaust pipes with chrome tips. It seems there will be new body color options replacing a few current ones. The sedan will ride on the new underpinning that will be lighter than the current model due to the use of lighter but sturdy materials.

The five-passenger sedan will have premium and high-quality cabin. There are new finishing materials and more spacious room. 2017 Ford Taurus comes standard with leather-wrapped steering wheel, Keyless engine start, 2-zone climate control, 8-inch touchscreen display, and audio-video system. High-tech features include a premium audio system, smartphone integration, hotspot, Bluetooth connectivity and USB ports.
2017 Ford Taurus Engines and Performance
There will be three gasoline engine options available for the updated Ford Taurus mated with 6-speed automatic transmission. A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine can deliver 240 hp and returns 32 mpg city fuel economy. A 3.5-liter V6 engine can put out 288 hp and returns 29 mpg city fuel economy. There is also 2017 Ford Taurus model that comes with 3.5-liter V6 engine that can boost 365 hp and returns 25 mpg city fuel economy.
