The most luxurious trim level in line has been the Grand Cherokee Summit with premium features and specs in the interior and exterior. The update for 2017 is not too much different as you see on the exterior. There are just minor updates with a new 20-inch wheel design and a tweaked front end. A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is standard engine throughout the lineup. A 3.0-liter Ecodiesel V6 and a 5.7-liter V8 are optional engine available. Eight-speed automatic is the standard transmission across the board. The 4×4 system is only available standard for the topping Summit trim level.
