The new GT is also known as the Stinger and will ride on the same platform used in the Genesis G80 and G90 sedans but in a shortened dimension. There is a wide and short grille at the front allowing a much larger air flow for the engine. It comes with slimmer headlights that are located a bit higher from the bumper. Expect to see some modish hood vents and some brawny character lines. The side profile loses the side skirts. Its fastback-like design offers somewhat steeply the roof rake. 18-inch wheels will be standard. At the back, 2017 Kia GT has a near-flat rear windshield that makes us assume that it will be a hatchback.

A 3.3-liter V-6 would be standard on 2017 Kia GT promising 365 hp. Engine unit is updated boasting extra power out of the engine. Expect the new model to boost around 400 hp. This powerful engine will be given to the higher model trim so there will be standard engine unit offered. A manual or automatic dual-clutch transmission is available.

The interior of the new Kia GT remains unknown. But, it could be an upscale, deluxe, and functional cabin as the car will compete against Audi and Mercedes. Since it shares much of its design styles, it seems the Hyundai Genesis will lend most its interior design. It would come standard with a digital instrument cluster, cooled and heated ventilated seats, premium trim inserts, two-tone interior, and bigger touchscreen infotainment system. 2017 Kia GT can have its cargo room expanded on demand by folding its rear seats given the fact that this will be a hot hatch.
