The 2017 Land Rover Discovery LR5 is the company’s latest version of the car that will debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The all new generation will use lots of aluminum metal to lose a lot of weight. Expect to see quicker, dynamic, lighter, and efficient LR5 than the predecessor. The new Discovery is rumored to be released at the end of 2016 and will hit the dealership in early 2017 for Europe and North America audiences. The 2016 Paris Motor Show will be the first time for the LR5 to be showcased officially.
2017 Land Rover Discovery LR5 Design
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery LR5 will share the same design with that of the Discovery Sport with lot more aerodynamic and sharp styling. The boxy and heavy current Disco will be restyled so it will be lighter, appealing and aggressive especially for headlights and grille. The new Land Rover design language will be applied to the current Disco LR4. It gets its on road manners and stability improved with the reduced co-efficient of drag and 150 kilograms weight reduction. It now has sleek and attractive headlamps. Smart Glass, Transparent hood, and off mode Remote control systems are taken from Discovery concept back in 2014.
2017 Land Rover Discovery LR5 Engine
The new Discovery will carry a tweaked 3.0-liter gasoline and diesels V6 to increase performance and fuel efficiency. Expect to see a plug-in hybrid option later. There will also be a V8 engine as well with a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 for the SVR version while the SVO will also be released as a greatly capable off roader Disco. Fuel efficiency, drivability, and off and on road dynamics is improved by more powerful engine and lighter body weight. The 2017 Land Rover Discovery LR5 offers supple ride with its new air suspension that can be lowered or raised according to terrain.
