2017 Ford Expedition Debut and Changes

Ford Motor Company will release the latest generation of the full-size SUV 2017 Ford Expedition. Expect to see this model at the dealership in 2016 as it is already in advanced stage of development progress. There will be 8 different trim levels for the new Ford Expedition that all come with different features.

The familiar conventional SUV look is kept in its exterior design, but there will be more modern and more pleasing look to the customers due to some adjustments updates. The 2017 Ford Expedition gets its curb weight lower 200 to 300 pounds lowered due to the use of durable but lightweight steel and aluminum material to the chassis. There is a significant aggressive redesigned look at the front part. Revisions include chrome grille, headlights and front bumper. Standard features include 22” wheels and automatic power doors.

There will be much more fun and comfort inside the cabin of the 2017 Ford Expedition. The three rows seats configuration is design to be comfortable to accommodate 8 adult passengers. It comes standard with premium cloth upholstery while higher trim model get leather. Aluminum and wood material dominate the interior trimming that is soft to the touch. MyFord Touch infotainment system is updated with navigation system, Bluetooth, climate control, 10-speaker premium audio system, smartphone app and USB port.

A 3.5-liter twin turbo V6 EcoBoost engine is new under the hood of the SUV that boost 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent via new 10R80 10- speed SelectShift manumatic intelligent transmission that is still in the development progress. There are the rear wheel drive and four wheel drive system options. It returns 23 highway and 16 mpg city fuel economy for the rear wheel drive model while the all-wheel drive model returns 21 mpg highway and 15 mpg city. A 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 diesel engine is also available for 2017 Ford Expedition models that boost 440 hp and 860 pound-feet of torque.
