2017 Ford Kuga New Engine And Facelift

Planned to be available in Europe dealership in the second half of the year, 2017 Ford Kuga that comes with new features was unveiled at Barcelona International Motor Show. Expect to see major updates inside and out from the next generation model.

At the front, there is a large trapezoidal grille above the smaller air intake at the front revised bumper. LED daytime running lights are offered with new headlight that share the same design with the larger new Ford Edge released this year and smaller Ford EcoSport that was facelifted last year. There will be fresh and modern feel on the new 2017 Ford Kuga thanks to the sophisticated redesign. At the back, it gets its bumper revised while the taillight will be sharper. The power liftgate is larger allowing easier cargo access from the back.

The previous 2.0-liter diesel engine is replaced with a new 1.5-liter diesel that produces the equal output but there will be 5 percent step up in fuel emissions and fuel economy of 2017 Ford Kuga. There are no detail figures for the mileage and top speed. A 1.5-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine is also available for those looking for performance Kuga. It seems there will be standard 6-speed manual and optional 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive and front wheel drive could be available.

Ford’s Sync 3 will be added for the next gen Kuga to keep up with technology. This system is updated to be more intuitive and user friendly for 2017. Parking assist is added to help driver when parking. It also comes with the impact prevention system, adaptive headlights, and a hands-free liftgate. New larger touchscreen display, navigation system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, USB ports and voice command are available. Keyless entry and ignition offer convenience for the 2017 Ford Kuga.
