The German carmaker Volkswagen introduced its new diesel plug-in hybrid mid-sized SUV, 2017 VW Crossblue Coupe at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. But, there are still unclear details about the car regarding the release and the price. The concept came with six seats, but the production model will come with seven seats. The design styling of the production version will be kept to be as close as possible with the previous model.
2017 VW Crossblue Coupe Powertrain
The new Hybrid Coupe will come with the new plug-in hybrid system. A 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine can put 415 hp and 702 Nm of torque paired with two electrical motors. The 2017 VW Crossblue Coupe can sprint 60 mph in 5.9 seconds to reach 210 mph of top speed. Fuel economy will also be improved so the driver can travel longer between refueling.
2017 VW Crossblue Coupe Exterior Design
There will be new design styling outside the 2017 VW Crossblue Coupe along with the increase of its overall dimension. The couple will have 4.887 mm length, 214 mm width, and 1674 mm height. The front and rear areas of the car will be updated with the update and revision of the grille, LED headlights, bumpers and hood that is longer and bigger. These modernizations will add the most aggressive look to the car. New chassis will make 2979 mm increased of wheelbase.

The cabin of the upcoming Crossblue will be more stylish and modern due to the application of the high quality material. Napa leather upholstery will ensure better comfort to the seats. Instruments and infotainment system will be new and high-tech inside the Coupe to ensure fun and safety riding. The infotainment center will be a 10.1-inch touchscreen display featuring new navigation and audio system. To ensure the security, the airbag and ABS is a standard feature in the 2017 VW Crossblue Coupe.
