The engine of the new 2017 VW Polo SUV should be available in various options just like many other Volkswagen model. Options include some gasoline and diesel mills. A 1.4 liter gasoline engine will give power for the base model while there is another gasoline engine for higher model. For diesels lineup, there will be four and three cylinders TDI engine in different capacities. 6-speed manual transmission is standard while 6-speed automatic is optional.

This new model will share the many of the same characteristics as the latest Polo hatchback, which will be available next year. Volkswagen has not announced which platform will be used. One possibility is the new flexible MQB. There is also PQ25 which has been the base for the outgoing Polo hatchback. At any rate, the new model should keep many technical aspect and styling similarities with regular Polo. The exact appearance of the new VW Polo SUV is unknown but it should come with totally new styling.
