2017 VW Taigun will be the new crossover vehicle from the Volkswagen to let the carmaker to be able to compete against MINI Countryman, Nissan Juke, and Suzuki SX4. The Taigun concept was introduced at India International Motor Show in 2014 for the first time, and it was able to draw everyone’s attention. The compact crossover can match Tiguan easily in term of performance. A 1.0 liter direct injected turbocharged 3-cylinder gasoline engine gives power to the car boosting 108 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque. This figure is slightly better than the equal engine of the previous VW models. It can hit 9.2 seconds to accelerate 62 mph before it reach 116 mph of top speed. 2017 VW Taigun’s fuel economy rating is average at 50 mpg for combined driving.
