There are four engine options available. A 1.4-liter TSI can deliver 148 horses and 184 pound-feet of torque while a 1.4 TSI DSG brings improved performance though torque and power are equal. A 1.6-liter TDI will also be available good for 109 horses and 184 pound-feet while a 2.0-liter TDI boosts 148 horses and 251 pound-feet. The power is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. 2017 VW Touran returns fuel economy at 33 mpg city and 37 highways.
