2017 Ford Explorer will get a new Sport Appearance Package that was announced at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show. There will be a complete list of appearance upgrades for one of the best-selling crossover SUV that adds a more off-road focused and forceful look with the new Sport Appearance Package. The XLT with Sport Appearance Package takes the XLT trim level as the basis, sits underneath Sport, Limited, and Platinum but just over XLT.
2017 Ford Explorer Exterior
This package lets you have all equipments of the XLT and all the package features including the large Magnetic Gray 20-inch wheels, a unique Magnetic Gray mirror caps and grille, and black body side cladding. Black and Magnetic Gray replace all chrome finish. This summer is expected that the 2017 Ford Explorer lineup will be added with the brand new XLT Sport Appearance Package. Ford has not announced the pricing yet but expect the price should be in the middle of a Limited and XLT.
2017 Ford Explorer Interior
There is a much more exclusive look but does not look like Sport model for the interior. Miko Suede inserts and leather trims get a combination of Dark Earth for front and rear Seats. The door panels also get suede finished with contrast embroidered logo and stitching floor mats. Announced earlier last fall at the LA Auto Show, the new 2017 Ford Escape will also get Sports Appearance Package. The SE and the Titanium trim levels will get this package similar in theme to that of the 2017 Ford Explorer.
2017 Ford Explorer Engine
A 3.5-liter V6 engine gives power to the 2017 Explorer delivering 290 hp. It comes only with six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel and front-wheel drive is available. A 2.3 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder remains unknown whether it will be available on the 2017 Ford Explorer or not.
